We can now offer the ability to record your lesson on the RoadVision in-car video system.
Please Note: There is no pressure to have your lessons recorded and is entirely up to you. However, past and present pupils had said that they found it to be of great benefit.
It has been shown that pupils learn better when watching themselves drive on familiar roads than by watching any of the commercially available media showing strangers driving in unknown areas.
A small camera is mounted between the instructor and pupil. This will then record all on-coming situations and the pupil's reaction. Sound is also recorded using the camera's in-built microphone.
On the dashboard is a 6" colour LCD monitor. This can be used to watch any part of the lesson from the video.
At the end of the lesson the pupil can then take the tape home and watch the lesson again in the comfort of their own home.
I can supply 3-hour VHS tapes for a nominal charge of £1.50
This is an ideal way of refreshing subjects between lessons and showing parents/partners how lessons are progressing. It is also useful for mock tests to allow you to see how you perform under test conditions. Unfortunately the DSA have ruled that use of this system is not permitted to record the driving test itself.
