DSA Approved Driving Instructor offering lessons in and around the Chelmsford and Brentwood Areas

INTRODUCTION (PART 1)

The first module is split into two parts: the first part is an introduction to the course and the second part is a practical session on town driving.

Your instructor will check your driving license and eyesight and begin your first session by explaining:

·	why the course was introduced

·	what the course aims to do

·	the challenge of safe, positive driving

·	the importance of driver attitude

·	the skills and knowledge to be covered by the course

TOWN DRIVING (PART 2)

The second part of the module is a practical session, covering the different features of driving in town, such as complex junctions and public transport. You'll concentrates on:

·	observation, judgment and awareness

·	eye contact

·	consideration for vulnerable road users

·	being cautious - but not over-cautious

·	keeping space around your car.

You will be given advice about features of town driving, such as:

·	multi-lane junctions

·	unusual roundabouts

·	trams and bus, cycle and taxi lanes

·	under- and over-passes.
